This is our trout pond. It has a nice lean to and benches to relax on. Canoes are available for members. The pond is stocked regularly with trout. There are browns, brookies, and rainbows in the pond.
The trout pond is also know as the lower pond since the bass pond flows into the trout pond by a small brook that flows through the woods between the ponds. Both ponds are spring fed and the overflow from the trout pond into a swamp that is larger than 20 acres.
This is a popular area for picnics and gatherings. There is a steel grill and a campfire ring.
The bass pond also known as the upper pond has a lean to and a canoe and johnboat available. It is shallow and is much larger than the trout pond.
Although the Range is near the Bass pond, there is seldom someone there. You will find that you will be alone on many days.
Some members enjoy casting off the dam or just walking along watching for bass moving out of the shallows.
The beauty of the outdoors and the peace of being away from it all is a big draw for our members.
Our members Shawn and Paula(Pond Chairman) are helping with our Winter stocking of trout for ice fishing.
We have many trout stockings each year. Member can expect trout in the pond all year. Flyfishing often is successful when the ice melts. In April, there is another stocking and the Kids Fishing Derby.
